kW
Kilowatt
The unit of power: how fast energy flows. In motors it's 'how much muscle'; in chargers it's 'how fast it charges'.
If kWh is how much water is in the bucket, kW is how far open the tap is. It's power: the rate at which energy goes in or out.
It shows up in two places. In the motor, kW is the car's muscle (what we used to read as horsepower). In charging, the charger's kW sets the speed: a 50 kW charger fills far faster than a 7 kW one.
